The Orion XS was developed from scratch and redefines adaptive DC-DC charging. For use in dual battery systems charged with an (intelligent) alternator. This device not only ensures first-class performance, but also guarantees the safety of your system.

With configurable input and output currents, you can keep an overview and be sure that your Smart BuckBoost will run at full power up to 40°C. The innovative cooling technology of the aluminum board delivers an amazing 98% efficiency without the need for fans.

As an integral part of your Victron system, the Orion XS offers comprehensive (remote) monitoring and control capabilities, giving you complete control over your device and system.

Configurable charging

Set the input and output current precisely with simple controls. This helps to protect alternators from overload and charge the service battery correctly, especially with smart alternators.

Parallel connection to increase the output current

An unlimited number of Orion XS devices can be connected in parallel. This makes it easy to scale the output current to the requirements of your system.

Adaptive charging algorithm

The Orion XS has adaptable charging algorithms and 8 preset battery modes. For lead-acid batteries, these settings ensure optimal absorption times for both low and deep discharges.

Comprehensive electronic protection

The Orion XS is equipped with comprehensive electronic protection against overload, short circuit and overtemperature.
It automatically reduces the output power when the maximum product temperature is reached.

Shutdown at low temperatures and undervoltage protection

To prevent damage to lithium batteries, the charger switches off automatically at low temperatures and when the input voltage falls below a user-configurable cut-off value. This protects the starter battery from deep discharge.

Dust and waterproof

The Orion XS is dust and waterproof and has protection class IP65.

VictronConnect allows you to request live status information and configure all Victron products that either have a built-in Bluetooth function or are connected to a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart Dongle.
