Envertech EVT800 600 W Microinverter for Balcony Solar Systems
The Envertech EVT800 is a single-phase microinverter designed for the direct connection of up to two PV modules. It converts the direct current generated by the solar modules into utility-grade alternating current, which can be consumed directly within the building or fed into the public grid.
The version offered here is based on 600 W AC power is limited and thus aligned with the power limit currently in effect in Switzerland for plug-and-play PV systems. The model designation EVT800 refers to the device platform. If regulations permit a power output of 800 W in the future, a corresponding adjustment will be made by the manufacturer possible.
Using Two Solar Panels Independently
The microinverter has two PV inputs with MPPT control. This allows the optimal operating point of each connected module to be tracked separately. This is particularly helpful when the modules are oriented differently or are subject to varying degrees of shading at different times.
- Two PV inputs for up to two solar panels
- Recommended power range of 180 to 550 Wp per input
- MPPT voltage range from 22 to 50 V
- Up to 14 A input current per PV input
- 99.9% MPPT efficiency, according to the manufacturer
Wi-Fi Monitoring with EnverView
The built-in Wi-Fi module connects the EVT800 directly to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. The EnverView app and the Envertech portal can be used to monitor the system's operational and yield data. For setup, the inverter and Wi-Fi router should have a sufficiently stable wireless connection.
Durable for outdoor installation
The enclosure has an IP67 rating and is rated for an ambient temperature range of -40 to +65 °C. With dimensions of 264 × 194 × 35.5 mm, the microinverter can be mounted close to the solar modules to save space.
Installation must be performed in a suitable and adequately ventilated location, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Keeping the distance to the PV modules as short as possible simplifies the DC wiring.
The Main Benefits
- Swiss model with 600 W AC output power
- Manufacturer-side adjustment to 800 W is possible in response to changes in Swiss regulations
- Two MPPT channels for up to two solar panels
- Built-in Wi-Fi for EnverView Monitoring
- 96.8% peak efficiency
- Low nighttime power consumption of less than 100 mW
- Weather-resistant IP67 enclosure
- Compact design for installation close to the module
For balcony solar systems in Switzerland
With its AC power output limited to 600 W, the Envertech EVT800 is suitable for small, grid-connected PV systems on balconies, patios, or garden sheds. The solar power generated is primarily used by appliances in the building that are turned on at the same time.
Before commissioning, the responsible distribution system operator must be notified in writing. A declaration of conformity must be available for the entire plug-and-play system. The grid connection must comply with Swiss requirements and be made using a suitable outdoor outlet in accordance with SEV 1011.

Conclusion
The Envertech EVT800 combines two PV inputs, Wi-Fi monitoring, and a weatherproof enclosure in a compact microinverter. The 600-watt version is a suitable foundation for a Swiss balcony solar system with up to two electrically compatible solar modules.
The technical preparation for 800 W protects the investment in the event of a possible future change in Swiss regulations. Any necessary power adjustment must be made by the manufacturer.
Frequently Asked Questions About the Envertech EVT800
-
Why is the model called EVT800 even though it's sold as a 600 W model?
The EVT800 device platform is technically rated for up to 800 W AC power. The Swiss version offered complies with currently applicable regulations regarding Limited to 600 W.
-
Can the EVT800 be upgraded to 800 W at a later date?
Yes. If the permitted power output for plug-and-play PV systems in Switzerland is increased to 800 W in the future, the manufacturer can adjust the inverter accordingly. There are no plans for the operator to activate the system independently.
-
Which solar modules can be connected to the EVT800?
Up to two solar modules are supported, each with a recommended power output of 180 to 550 Wp. In addition, the MPPT range of 22 to 50 V, the maximum DC voltage of 60 V, and the maximum input current of 14 A per input must be observed.
-
Do both solar panels have to be oriented the same way?
No. The two MPPT channels regulate the connected modules separately. This allows for better adaptation to different orientations or temporary variations in shading.
-
Does the microinverter require an additional Wi-Fi module?
According to the manufacturer, the EVT800-B model features a built-in Wi-Fi module. To set it up with EnverView, you need an accessible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi required.
-
Does the EVT800 continue to generate power during a power outage?
No. The EVT800 is a grid-tied microinverter and is not an off-grid or emergency power solution. If the public grid is unavailable, it must not feed any voltage into the home’s electrical system.
-
Do you have to register a balcony solar system in Switzerland?
Yes. The connection must be reported in writing to the responsible distribution system operator before the system is put into operation. In addition, a declaration of conformity must be available for the entire plug-and-play system.
