Lynx Smart BMS 1000 NG

The Lynx Smart BMS NG is a special battery management system (BMS) for Victron Lithium NG batteries. They are available in system voltages of 12V, 24V or 48V. The maximum number of batteries in a single system is 50, with the maximum capacity of energy storage multiplied by connecting several Lynx Smart BMS in parallel, which also ensures redundancy if one battery bank fails. Up to 5 BMS battery systems can be connected together.

Of the various BMS available for the new Lithium NG batteries, the Lynx Smart BMS NG is the most feature rich option that integrates seamlessly with other M10 products in the Lynx Distributor system.
It is available in 500 A (M10) and 1000 A (M10) versions.

Built-in 500 A or 1000 A contactor
- Available in 500 A (M10) and 1000 A (M10) versions.
- Used as a secondary safety system to protect the battery if the primary controls (ATC, ATD and/or DVCC) fail.
- Suitable as a remote main switch for the system.

Pre-charging circuit
- Prevents high inrush currents when connecting capacitive loads such as inverters.
- External pre-chargers are no longer required.

Monitoring and control
- Bluetooth connection for monitoring and control via the VictronConnect app or VE.Can-Anschluss in combination with GX devices such as the Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX and the VRM portal.
- Display of cell voltages and temperatures also on GX devices and the VRM portal.
- The integrated battery monitor provides data such as state of charge, voltage, current, historical data, status information and more in real time.
- Diagnostics at a glance with instant display.

DVCC control loop and ATC/ATD contacts
- Compatible Victron inverter/chargers, the Orion XS 12/12-50A DC-DC battery charger and solar charge controller are automatically controlled via a connected GX device and DVCC.
- The ATC/ATD contacts can be used to control other chargers and loads that have remote on/off control.

Programmable relay
- It can be used either as an alarm relay (in combination with the pre-alarm) or to control an alternator via its external controller (ignition cable).
- It provides an ATC mode for the alternator, allowing safe disconnection of the alternator before the battery is disconnected.

AUX port
- Integrated auxiliary power supply (1.1 A at system voltage) to power certain loads (i.e. a GX device) after the BMS shuts down.
- Automatic shutdown of the BMS and AUX port if no charging voltage is detected within 5 minutes of a low voltage event.

VE.Can and NMEA 2000 data communication

- Easy connection and communication with GX devices via VE.Can using a standard RJ45 network cable.
- Integration into boat networks via the NMEA 2000 protocol (requires a VE.Can to NMEA 2000 Micro C connector cable). Lynx Distributor Fuse Monitoring
- Monitors the status of fuses from up to 4 connected Lynx Distributors via VictronConnect or GX devices.
- Receives blown fuse alarms.

Parallel redundant Lynx Smart BMS
- The new parallel redundancy feature for the Lynx Smart BMS and Lynx Smart BMS NG series allows multiple Lynx BMS in one installation. Each has its own battery bank and together they form a single redundant battery system. Up to 5 BMS can be connected in parallel.

VictronConnect

With VictronConnect you can query live status information and configure all Victron products that either have a built-in Bluetooth function or are connected to a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart Dongle.
