Ultra-high efficiency "green" battery charger

With an efficiency of up to 95%, these chargers generate three to four times less heat than the industry standard. And once the battery is fully charged, power consumption is reduced to 0.5 watts, which is five to ten times better than the industry standard.

Durable, safe and quiet

- Protection against overheating: the output current is reduced if the temperature rises to 60 °C, but the charger does not fail.
- The chargers are completely silent: no fan or other moving parts

Reconditioning (recovery)

A lead-acid battery that has not been sufficiently charged or has been left in a discharged state for days or weeks will deteriorate in performance due to sulphation. If the process is stopped in time, the sulphation can be partially reversed by charging the battery at a low current until a higher voltage is reached.

Function for restoring fully discharged batteries

Most chargers with reverse polarity protection do not recognise a battery that has been discharged to zero volts or almost zero volts and therefore do not recharge it. However, the Blue SmartIP65 charger will attempt to recharge a fully discharged battery with low current and will resume normal charging once sufficient voltage has been built up across the battery terminals between the battery poles.

Li-ion battery mode

The Blue Smart IP65 charger uses a specific charging algorithm for lithium-ion (LiFePO₄) batteries, with an automatic function to reset the lithium-ion low voltage protection.

Storage mode: less corrosion on the positive plates

Even the lower voltage of the float charge phase that follows the constant voltage phase leads to grid corrosion. It is therefore of the utmost importance to reduce the charging voltage even further, even if the battery remains connected to the charger for more than 48 hours.

Charging process with temperature equalisation

The optimum charging voltage of a lead-acid battery varies inversely to the temperature. The Blue Smart IP65 charger measures the ambient temperature during the test phase and equalises the temperature during the charging process. The temperature is measured again when the charger is in low current mode, float voltage phase or storage mode. Therefore, no special settings are required for a cold or hot environment.

Set, view and configure your Blue Smart IP65 charger using your smartphone.
The VictronConnect app allows you to view the status of your charger and battery and even control the functions of your charger. By default, the voltage and current are displayed on the screen.
