Installation
Potential equalisation T-strand 16mm² green-yellow
Solar panels on the roof must have potential equalisation.
Solar panels that are mounted on the same aluminium support are usually connected to each other and to the aluminium structure via the fastening clamps. If several rows are built, these must also be connected to each other.
This connection is made using an 8 mm aluminium wire and corresponding terminals.
The entire system must then be connected to earth for equipotential bonding. This can be realised in different ways. Either via an earthed roof hanger or, as in most cases, via a separate potential equalisation line. This then leads to the potential equalisation at the house distribution board or a separate earthing system.
This 16mm2 earthing / potential equalisation cable is used for this purpose.
