The new Centaur battery charger range from Victron Energy has been developed for worldwide use. General compliance and input/output specifications are the key features of this new range designed by the recognised Dutch manufacturer. It has been designed to fulfil the requirements of both CE marking for Europe and UL marking for the United States. The Centaur range automatically allows an input range extending from 90 to 265 VAC 50/60 Hz. This means that the devices can be used anywhere in the world.

Unlike other devices that have a universal input power, the Centaur range maintains full output power within the specified range. The Centaur model also operates at an input power of 90-400 VDC. This makes it a DC to DC charging converter that is perfectly suited for an electronic diesel system. Among other features, the model has a fully automatic three-stage charging characteristic that ensures batteries are fully charged every time, as well as three separate charging outputs for multi-battery equipment to suit most typical installations.

The product range covers 12 V and 24 V models from 16 A up to 100 A. The fact that the same product is suitable for any boat, regardless of the intended market or where the boat is to be taken, is a huge advantage for boat builders and boat owners alike.
