Hybrid Inverter/Charger
The Multi RS 48/6000 is a 48 V, 6 kVA inverter/charger without an integrated solar MPPT
Thanks to high-frequency technology and a new design, this powerful inverter weighs only 12 kg. It also features excellent efficiency, low standby power consumption, and very quiet operation.
Operating Modes
Standby Mode – Switches to standby mode during a power outage.
Off-Grid Mode – Operates without a grid connection.
Generator Mode – Controls the generator to minimize runtime. Supplies additional power from the battery when demand exceeds the generator’s capacity.
PowerControl and PowerAssist – Increase grid or generator output
A maximum grid or generator current can be set. The Multi RS then takes other AC loads into account and uses only the “remaining” current to charge the battery. This prevents the generator or utility connection from being overloaded (PowerControl function). The PowerAssist function takes the PowerControl principle to a new level. Load peaks often occur only for a limited period of time. In such cases, the Multi RS immediately compensates for insufficient generator or grid power by drawing energy from the battery. Once the load is reduced, the “excess” energy can be used to charge the batteries.
Display, Bluetooth, and VictronConnect App
The display shows battery and inverter parameters. These same parameters can be accessed using a smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device via the VictronConnect app.
Optionally expandable PV capacity, connected to both AC and DC
The system can optionally be expanded with solar chargers. Alternatively, PV capacity can be expanded by installing PV inverters connected to the AC output, whose output power is automatically controlled by the integrated frequency shift control.
Interfaces
VE.Can-Anschluss to a GX device for system monitoring, Energy Meter(10), data logging, and remote firmware updates. VE.Direct-Verbindung to a GlobalLink 520 for remote data monitoring.
I/O Connections
Programmable relay, temperature sensor, and voltage sensor connections.
Victron Remote Management
The Victron Remote Management (VRM) online portal lets you access your installation from anywhere, at any time. In VRM, you can check the status of your connected products, view detailed historical graphs of your energy usage, generate detailed analysis reports, and even configure automatic alerts in case something goes wrong.
VictronConnect
VE.Direct allows you to retrieve live status information and configure all Victron products that either have built-in Bluetooth functionality or are connected to a Bluetooth Smart Dongle.
