Xantrex Max Flex panels with mesh technology
The Xantrex Solar Max Flex panels feature cells with a mesh grid technology that provides superior durability and performance.
With approximately 2000 contact points per cell, this cell connection technology allows the module to bend up to 180 degrees without compromising power output. The Max panel has undergone extreme environmental and accelerated life cycle testing that exceeds regulatory standards. The panels proved to be 50 times more durable than a standard flexible panel.
The highly protective ETFE (ethylene tetra fluoro ethylene) topcoat provides better light transmission, corrosion resistance, stain resistance, weather resistance and overall durability over a wide temperature range than non-ETFE coated semi-flexible panels.
In addition, the Max panel can generate up to 20% more energy than a standard solar panel during the day in low light or shade.
Load & shading test
In a shading test in which 1-4 cells in a row were shaded, the Xantres Mesh Panel still delivers between 77 - 72% of its output, whereas the comparison panel still had an output of 56 - 6%. 
A stress test further shows how the mesh technology minimises the loss of performance with damaged cells. The cells were severely damaged, but the performance loss was only around 24%.
