System integration

Victron Energy Multi RS19 Solar 48/6000/100 - 450/100 - 2 trackers -
Hybrid Inverter/Charger

The Multi RS19 Solar 48/6000/100-450/80 230 V is a lightweight, high-frequency 48-V/6-kVA inverter/charger with two independent 3-kWp PV MPPT trackers, each capable of handling a DC voltage of 65–450 V, for a total PV capacity of 6 kWp.

This is the 19-inch version of the Multi RS Solar, designed for installation in a standard 19-inch battery rack, enabling a more compact setup. The unit is suitable for both grid-connected and off-grid applications.

In grid-connected applications, it supports Dynamic ESS functionality while offering the flexibility to combine it with a solar inverter of a different type or size. PV power is then fed in via AC-coupled PV inverters, whose output is automatically regulated by the Multi RS’s frequency-shift power control.

It can also be used as a direct grid connection without batteries, which allows for an easy start and facilitates later expansion with battery storage.

For off-grid applications, the Multi RS offers a compact solution that keeps batteries fully charged and provides additional power during periods of high demand.

Thanks to high-frequency technology, it delivers exceptional efficiency in a quiet, compact enclosure with low standby power consumption.

All parameters can be monitored via the built-in display or the VictronConnect app, which also shows historical trends.

It can be connected to a GX device, such as a Cerbo GX or a Nucleo GX, to take advantage of advanced ESS features, including “Zero-Export” to prevent power from being fed back into the grid.

Applications:

- Homes with battery storage & new solar ESS systems
- Self-consumption optimization
- Retrofitting battery storage to existing PV inverters
- 19" battery rack storage
- Backup systems

- Off-grid systems, such as mountain huts, mountain restaurants, etc.
- Tiny houses
- Event systems with limited power (peak load capping)
- Peak load capping for systems at the end of an overhead line

Advantages of two MPPT controllers

  • - East/west-facing roof
  • - Different module arrays
  • - Different roof pitches
  • - Partial shading

Additional Solar Output

In addition to the integrated MPPT trackers, AC PV inverters or additional DC solar MPPT charge controllers can also be integrated into the system. This offers complete freedom in system design.

Can the Multi RS19 Solar be operated without a battery?

Yes, the Multi RS19 Solar can also be operated without a battery; a storage system can be retrofitted.

Is it suitable for ESS?

Yes, the Multi RS19 Solar is designed for ESS (energy storage systems); it can be operated as a 3-phase grid together with two additional units. However, NO devices may be operated in parallel per phase.

Can a battery storage system be added later?

Yes, a battery storage system can be added later. Without storage, solar energy is fed directly into the grid.

What battery voltage is supported?

The Multi RS19 Solar can be operated with 48V battery systems, with a voltage range of 38–62V.
Common lithium-ion batteries are therefore compatible.

Is the device suitable for off-grid systems?

Yes, the Multi RS19 Solar can be operated as a standalone off-grid system; at the same time, it is also capable of operating in off-grid mode if the public grid fails. In other words, it is capable of black start.

Can peak loads be reduced (peak load shaving)?

Yes, the Multi RS19 Solar can provide additional energy from the batteries or connected solar panels when AC input is limited, in order to shave off peak loads and prevent overloading of grid connections.

Such systems can even prevent the need for costly grid expansion.

Victron Remote Management

The Victron Remote Management (VRM) online portal allows you to access your installation from anywhere, at any time. In VRM, you can check the status of your connected products, view detailed historical energy graphs, generate detailed analysis reports, and even configure automatic alerts in case something goes wrong.

VictronConnect

VE.Direct allows you to view live status information and configure all Victron products that either have a built-in Bluetooth function or are connected to a Bluetooth Smart dongle.
