All Victron Smart Lithium batteries require an external BMS. Without a BMS there is no warranty!!!
The BMS controls the charge (ATC) / discharge (ATD) based on the information from the battery.
This control varies depending on the BMS, but in all cases requires additional circuitry for charging / discharging.
Below you will find links to select the correct BMS and BMS models.
The following BMS are available:
- VE.Bus BMS & VE.Bus BMS V2 - recommended for systems with our MultiPlus inverters/chargers.
- smallBMS - recommended for use in small systems
- Battery Management System BMS 12/200 - recommended for use in automotive and marine systems with DC loads and alternators.
- Smart BMS CL 12/100 - recommended for use in automotive and marine systems with DC loads and alternators.
- Lynx Smart BMS - recommended for larger systems / loads in combination with Lynx Distributor / Battery IN products
