The Victron EasySolar-II 48/6k5/100-50 MPPT 250/100 GX combines the key components of a high-performance 48-V solar and storage system in a single unit. The EasySolar-II 48/6k5 delivers a continuous output of 6 kW at 25 °C. Its particular strength lies in its long-term power reserve: During a cold start, 6.5 kW is available for up to three hours. This means that the 6k5 power rating is much more than just a short-term peak value and is also suitable for longer periods of high load.

For even higher loads, the inverter delivers up to 8 kW for one hour during a cold start. The peak power is 11 kW for one minute. These reserves are particularly helpful for loads with high inrush currents or temporary high power demands.

The continuous output power is 5.7 kW at 40 °C and 4.6 kW at 65 °C. This ensures that a high level of usable power remains available even at higher ambient temperatures.

Compared to the previous EasySolar II 48/5000 model, the new 6k5 generation offers significantly more usable inverter power. This expands the range of applications to include larger loads and reduces the risk that the system will reach its power limit prematurely during prolonged periods of high load.

100-A charger for utility, shore, and generator power

The built-in AC battery charger delivers up to 100 A battery charging current. At 40 °C, up to 95 A is available. Compared to the previous 48/5000 model with 70 A, the maximum AC charging power has thus been significantly increased.

The higher charging power reduces the required charging time, provided that the battery and AC source can handle or supply the corresponding current. This is particularly advantageous for systems with a generator, shore power, or a temporary grid connection.

In the EasySolar-II GX, the high-performance AC charger complements the integrated MPPT solar charge controller. This allows both solar energy and an external AC source to be used to charge the battery storage system and coordinated within the overall system.

Important: The battery, BMS, wiring, fuses, and connections must be rated for the potential charge and discharge currents of the 6k5 system.

50-A transfer switch and two AC outputs

The built-in 50-A transfer switch handles the switchover between the existing AC source and the battery supply. In the event of a failure in the utility, shore, or generator power supply, the loads connected to the main output can continue to be powered by the battery system.

AC-Out-1 for loads with an uninterruptible power supply

AC-Out-1 serves as the system's main output. When an AC source is available, the devices connected to it are powered through this output. If this source fails, the inverter takes over and supplies power from the battery.

AC-Out-2 for loads that can be selectively shut off

The additional AC-Out-2 is active only when mains, grid, or generator power is present at the input. This allows, for example, water heaters, space heaters, chargers, or other high-power loads to be automatically excluded from battery operation.

PowerControl and PowerAssist

PowerControl allows you to specify the maximum load that can be placed on a limited AC source. The EasySolar-II GX takes the connected loads into account and uses only the available power to charge the battery.

PowerAssist supplements a weak grid, off-grid, or generator power supply with energy from the battery. If the power demand exceeds the available input power, the inverter automatically supplies the difference. If power consumption drops again, the excess power can be used to charge the battery.


SmartSolar MPPT 250/100-Tr

The integrated SmartSolar MPPT 250/100-Tr efficiently converts the energy from the PV generator into battery charging current. It delivers a maximum output current of 100 A and, in a 48-V battery system, supports up to 5,800 W of PV power Designed. The maximum efficiency of the solar charge controller is 99%.

Important: The maximum PV open-circuit voltage is 250 V. The open-circuit voltage of the entire PV string must remain safely below this limit even at low module temperatures.

The DC output of the MPPT solar charge controller is internally connected to the DC terminal of the inverter/charger. The shared on/off mechanism simplifies operation and ensures that the components function as a coordinated system.

GX Device, Display, and Remote Monitoring

The integrated GX unit monitors the MultiPlus-II, the SmartSolar MPPT, and other connected system components. A backlit 2 × 16-character display shows key battery, inverter, and solar charge controller data directly on the unit.

Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and a simple Bluetooth connection are available for local and remote access for configuration purposes. The free Victron Remote Management Portal allows you to remotely view operating data, energy flows, system messages, and historical values.
